Robert Vaughan’s path in the transportation industry began in his teenage years, working alongside his father in Orange County. His family operated a 76 gas station and a towing company, where Robert learned the business from the ground up. Whether he was pumping gas, changing oil, handling dispatch calls late at night, or contributing to marketing strategies, every task offered him a chance to build hands-on knowledge and a strong work ethic.
Living above the towing office, Robert immersed himself in the operations of the business. He worked closely with his father and others to shape a long-term vision grounded in purpose, service, and growth. These early years helped form the foundation of his leadership philosophy—one centered on operational excellence, customer care, and team collaboration.
From those humble beginnings, Robert’s experiences shaped not only his approach to business but also his lifelong commitment to creating organizations where people can thrive, and customers always feel valued.
